Western Sydney has a new destination for recycling that pays. 4G Metals has officially opened its Smithfield yard on Robert Street, right alongside Wanless, creating a complete metal and recycling hub for local tradies, homeowners, and businesses.
If you’re tired of long drives to offload scrap or waiting around for slow turnarounds, Smithfield is your new go-to. The yard delivers the same trusted service that 4G Metals customers already know from our Artarmon, Seven Hills and Kemps Creek branches – dynamic pricing, transparent scales, and quick payouts for copper, brass, aluminium, and steel.
This new location makes it easier than ever to recycle right here in the heart of Western Sydney – faster, fairer, and closer to home. The yard is built for efficiency, with easy drive-through access and an experienced team who know metal inside out, and know how to get you the best prices.
The exciting news comes alongside Wanless officially opening its new Greater Western Sydney headquarters right next door. After more than a year of operating from temporary offices at Sydney Recycling Park at Kemps Creek and the Long Street Smithfield facility, the Wanless team finally has a permanent home purpose-built for growth and efficiency. With administrative, operations, sales and logistics teams under one roof, the Wanless Sydney fleet now enjoy dedicated workspaces, truck parking, workshops and wash bays.
Positioned within the industrial belt of Western Sydney, 4G Metals and Wanless together form a strong operational base that supports resource recovery and efficient logistics across Sydney. By co-locating in one of the city’s busiest industrial corridors, both businesses can service customers faster, reduce time on the road and lower transport emissions – cutting our own carbon footprint while also helping customers achieve their sustainability and carbon-reduction goals.
Because at 4G Metals, recycling really does pay.
